- District Summer School begins next Monday, June 15. Be early to the school you were appointed to. If you're absent, you won't get your spot. Take care of your business and get your credits! If you have questions, contact your adviser. (If you're enrolled at City College, just the schedule to find out when your class begins.)

- Week Without Walls, one of the things that makes LHS special, is next week. Every day is mandatory, so make sure that you participate fully in your course. Each day is worth 1/2 credit, so it's a great way to gain PE, Leadership, and Elective credits. The schedule is 8:00 to 3:15 unless otherwise noted. If you have questions, talk with your WWW instructor.

- Be sure to finish strong and to complete all your work by this Friday, when third quarter ends. Teachers will turn in their grades at 8 a.m. on Friday, which will be mailed later that day. |

- The Class of 2010 plans to delve into important community issues on Tuesday for their Junior Exhibitions. Groups will share what they've learned about topics such as gang violence, homelessness, LGBT youth, and more. Be sure to be on time to your Advisory at 8:00 a.m. sharp so you don't miss anything!

- Congratulations to all students who completed your NS Contracts. It shows your dedication and hard work. It also helps you a lot: (1) You don't get an F, (2) You don't have to take summer school, (3) Your chances of graduating on time go up, (4) Your stress goes down! Good work!

- Make sure you know your top three WWW choices because the WWW Fair is this Monday during Advisory. You'll go to your top three choices and then get the WWW Sign-Up Sheet, which you'll need to return to your adviser by Wednesday with a parent signature. Be sure to choose wisely based on what you need to graduate!
